Ortler Alps, Italy. Mid of July. Looking forward to spending a great time in the mountains again. Two weeks of vacation ahead. The adventure in Nepal dates back more than one year now. However, the wheather forecast doesn't look very promising. Awaiting raining days.
Making the best out of the few moments without rain. Climbing Monte Vioz (3645 amsl), Passo Forcola (3032 amsl) and the Hintere Schöntaufspitze (3325 amsl). Our attempt to reach the summit of the Ortler (3905 amsl) was thwarted. Rain and fog for two consecutive days. Disappointment. Leaving the mountains behind. City tour. Go sightseeing Meran (I), Bozen (I), Innsbruck (A) and Bamberg (DE). Lots of beautiful impressions and delicious regional dishes. In the end a good mix of sportive and relaxing activities. Fun.
